Privacy Policy

myAmber requires an Amber Electric account connected via an API key generated through Amber Electric's Developer Mode.

Data Storage and Privacy

By default, all data obtained from Amber Electric, including your API key, site identifier and electricity usage information, is stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

myAmber does not require users to provide their name, email address or any other personal information.

Optional Price Notifications

If you choose to enable price notifications, your Amber Electric API key and site identifier are securely transmitted to and stored on our backend server.

This information is used exclusively to monitor electricity prices on your behalf and deliver notifications about price spikes and upcoming price increases, even when the app is closed.

Price notifications are entirely optional and are not required to use myAmber's other features.

Data Retention and Deletion

When you disable price notifications, your API key and site identifier are automatically deleted from our server.

If notifications are never enabled, your API key and site identifier remain stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our server.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell user data or share API credentials with third parties for advertising, marketing or other unrelated purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to myAmber's features or data handling practices.
